HTC previews upcoming Edge Sense features that will be added to the U11

Of all the features included in the recently launched HTC U11, the very Best one that stands out the most is the Edge Sense. HTC has installed sensors on the sides of its flagship phone which can activate a number of functions when the owner tightens the case. Today the company has again release a YouTube video that shows some upcoming Edge Sense additions that will be included in an upcoming update of the U11.

The YouTube video begins by showing how to using the Edge Sense, U11 owners will soon be able to press the phone to zoom in on the
Google Maps app. The same type of media zoom will also be added to check images in Google Photos. HTC also demonstrated that U11 owners can switch from a weekly schedule to one that shows the weekly and monthly selections with a simple touch of the phone, again via Edge Sense.
Other upcoming features that are displayed in the video include answering phone calls by pressing the sides of the U11 and ending them by doing the same. The owners will also be able to end annoying alarms just by squeezing the sides with a future update. Finally, HTC has shown how
Fans of YouTube will be able to pause the videos with a quick compression of the U11, again via Edge Sense.
Unfortunately, there is no word on the updated Edge Sense updates, with HTC simply claiming that they are "on the roadmap". We hope that we will not have to wait for these additions to be added to the U11. If you already own the phone, are you excited about the prospect of more Edge Sense features?
